The Last Working Day Of The Month: Issue 162

< issue 161 issue 163 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, August 31st 2018)

Hello all, and welcome to this BACK TO SKOOL edition of the newsletter. Let's get started!

GIGS TO COME
Saturday 29 September - The Gladstone Arms, London
Validators acoustic set with Clarence Oddbody and Emily C. Smith - we're on about 8.30pm

Check http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/gigs/ for more information.

SHOP RE-STOCK
We've had a pile of our CDs returned from Proper, our former distributors, which means that several items are now back in stock in the shop - have a look and see if there's anything you're missing!

GIG HUNT
This month I've been emailing various venues and promoters looking for a gig, without a huge amount of success. Any thoughts on where to try next would be much appreciated, otherwise it's Open Mic Nights for me!

LIVE ON LAMACQ
It's 10 years since Mr S Hewitt and I first went to the Edinburgh Fringe, with 'My Exciting Life In ROCK', and to celebrate Steve has uploaded the recording of our appearance on Steve Lamacq's 6Music programme, which we did LIVE during the show itself. You can listen to it below, and marvel at Mr Lamacq's consummate professionalism in the face of some extreme provocation from me!

AND FINALLY
The blog has been fairly quiet of late, but you can get a pretty regular dose of my going on about stuff via my Doctor Doom blog, which is a) in full swing b) quite good fun c) HERE:

And that's all we have for this month - if you don't hear from us this time next month it's because there's nothing new to report, but don't worry, as soon as there IS we'll be back!

Cheers,

Mark
